Inducted in 1998


Lewis Feild rodeoed at UVSC from 1974 to 1977. He graduated in 1977, earning an associate's degree in building construction. He rodeoed at South Summit High School in Kamas, Utah, before coming to UVSC. After leaving UVSC, he rodeoed for Weber State University, where he was the Region Champion in Saddle Bronc, and participated in the College National Finals Rodeo for three straight years.

He joined the pro ranks and was named the Bareback Rookie of the Year in 1980. He became one of the most famous rodeo pros in history, winning three consecutive World Champion All-Around Cowboy titles in 1985, 1986, and 1987. He also won two world bareback riding crowns. He won the prestigious Linderman Award three times, earning the honor in 1981, 1988, and 1991. He is a member of the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. He retired from the pro circuit and became a successful stock contractor on his ranch, Lewis Feild's Diamond G Rodeos, and produced pro rodeos until 1996. He stayed involved in rodeo, working as a pickup man and as an assistant coach with the UVSC team. He was inducted into the Utah Sports Hall of Fame in 1997.
