Stephanie Trane
Basketball & Volleyball Player
Inducted in 1998

Stephanie Trane was one of the most outstanding athletes in UVSC history, as she was a two-sport All-American. She earned All-America honors in volleyball in 1987 after leading the Wolverines to a 35-6 record. She finished her career atop the UVSC all-time kill list, and was also first on the list in receptions and service aces. She was in the top five in career attack attempts, digs, and attack percent.

In basketball, Trane earned All-America honors twice, first in 1987 and again in 1988. She was UVSC's all-time leading scorer, with 1050 points, and was the only Wolverine ever to score over 1000 points in her career. She averaged 20.6 points, a mark which was UVSC's career best. She also had UVSC's best career rebounding average at 10.3 boards per game. She set a UVSC record with 44 points in one game.

Ater leaving UVSC, Trane played at nearby Brigham Young University, then stayed on as an assistant coach for the Cougar volleyball program. She also played professional volleyball for the Utah Predators, helping her team go undefeated and win the PVL title in 1997. She earned her bachelor's degree in health education from BYU in 1992. She graduated from American Fork High, where she was All-State in volleyball and All-America in basketball.
