Made 18 appearances, eight of which were starts ... pitched 87.1 innings with a 3.92 ERA, the lowest on the team ... spent the first half of the season coming out of the pen and earning three saves ... pitched seven-plus innings in all eight of his starts ... had double digit strikeouts in four of his starts ... in his frist two starts of the season he threw complete games against University of Utah on Apr 6th, and Southern Utah on Apr 11th when he broke the single game strikeout record with 14 ... struck out 10 or more batters three other times in addition to record breaking game vs. SUU; vs. Washington (4/26), Utah (5/08) and Arizona State (5/16)

Sophomore (2006):
Pitched a total of 33.1 innings and finished with a 4.59 ERA ... earned two saves; at UC Davis (3/10) and at South Dakota State, (5/18) ... his longest outing of the season came against Northwest Nazarene when the threw 4.2 innings, giving up two hits.
