Game Time Pushed Back in UV/NJIT Matchup
Feb. 22, 2008
OREM, Utah - As the season winds down, Utah Valley will face off against New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in the Wolverines second to last game of the season. The game, originally slated for a 2 p.m. (MT) tip off, has been moved back to 3 p.m. due to NJIT's travel delays because of severe winter weather in the Northeastern United States. The Wolverines (13-14) and Highlanders (0-28) will be playing for the second time this month. Utah Valley built an early lead and held on for an 81-69 victory in the two teams' first matchup on Feb. 2. UV leads the overall series 3-0. Ryan Toolson, who led the Wolverines with 29 points in the first game between the two teams, leads UV in scoring averaging 23.8 points per game. Toolson is also the top scorer among NCAA Division I independents and ranks sixth overall nationally in scoring. NJIT is led by reigning Independent Player of the Week Nesho Milosevic who averages 12.1 points per game and an independent-high 8.1 rebounds. There will be live video, audio and stats available and can be accessed at www.WolverineGreen.com. The game will also be carried live on AM 1400 KSTAR with Steve Watts calling the play-by-play action. Utah County fans with cable can also watch the simulcast contest. Comcast customers in Utah County can tune in to channel 17 while IProvo and MSTAR customers can see the game on channel 15. The Wolverines will have the week off before wrapping up its 2008 campaign against Cal State Bakersfield on March 1. |
