Nelson and Distefano Tied for 55th in St. George :: Final round will be played Tuesday morning

St. George, Utah - Utah Valley golfers Nick Nelson and Skyler Distefano both shot a 3-over, 75 and are tied for 55th after one round at the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational. The tournament is being played at Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah.

It's the opening tournament of the spring for the Wolverines, who are in 17th place at the invite, hosted by Southern Utah.

Nelson leads the five UV golfers competing for the team scores while Distefano and Adam Tayler are both playing individually in the tournament. The Wolverines shot a team score of 314 overall.

Louisiana Monroe is in the lead after a 18-hole team score of 278 while ULM's Nathan McMullen is first after a 7-under, 65.

The final round will be played Tuesday morning.
