HARTFORD, Conn. - Utah Valley golfer Nick Nelson has been named The America Sky Conference Golfer of the Week for March 24-29 after his third place finish at the Cal Poly Intercollegiate last week.

Nelson, a junior from Alpine, Utah, shot rounds of 71, 71 and 72 for a two-under-par total of 214, which was just one shot back of the top spot at the tournament in Arroyo Grande, California.

It's the second time that Nelson, who led the Wolverines to a seventh-place finish in the event, has won the award.

Others nominated: Kyle Prolo (Idaho State), A.J. Oleksak (Hartford), Stephen Bidne (No. Colorado), Grant Norton (Sac. State).
