HARTFORD, Conn. - The America Sky Men's Golf Conference has named Utah Valley golfer Nick Nelson as its Golfer of the Week for April 6-13. It's the second time this spring and the third time during the 2007-08 school year that Nelson has won the award.

Nelson, a junior from Alpine, Utah, shot rounds of 67, 74 and 68 for a one-under-par total of 209 at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. He led the Wolverines to an 18th place finish in the event.

Last weekend, Nelson, who won the inaugural America Sky Conference Championship in the fall, finished 14th (-1) at the Ping Cougar Classic in Provo.
