OREM, Utah - Ashley MacKay of the women's golf team and Jeff Gibson of the men's team have been named the Utah Valley Athletic Department's November Scholar Athletes of the Month.

MacKay, a senior from Idaho Falls, is a Art/Visual Communication major and has a 3.54 GPA. On the course, she helped the women to their best fall season to date including a second place finish at the Weber State Invitational where she finished 3rd overall.

Gibson is majoring in Integrated Studies and has a 3.19 cumulative GPA. A senior from Calgary, Gibson had two top-30 finishes during the fall season.

He finished 20th overall at the America Sky Championships and helped the team finish 37-under at the Air Force Classic, the best team score in school history.
