Def) and Nate Alvarez of Newman University (T, 17-0) ... picked up four more wins on November 19, 2006 at the Old Chicago Northern Colorado Open in Greeley, Colorado ... at the Reno Tournament of Champions December 22, 2006 he was 2-2 with his wins coming against Darin Frey of South Western Oregon University (T, 17-0), and Ryan Budd of Cal. State Fullerton (Fall 5:24).

Wrestled at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs, Wyoming and was a two-year starter ... prepped at Viewmont High School in Bountiful, Utah ... placed 5th at state during both junior and senior seasons.
