OREM, Utah - Robyn Fairbanks capped off an impressive junior season by earning honorable mention All-America status by the Associated Press on Tuesday.

The Canadian center finished fourth in the nation in scoring with 23.8 points per game while also hitting a 12th best 57.9 percent from the field. Fairbanks was also just shy of averaging a double double with 9.7 rebounds, which ranks among the top 25 in the country.

She was a unanimous selection for the 2007-08 Division I Independent Player of the Year, the second straight season she has won the award.

Fairbanks' other list of accomplishments this season include: Five-time Independent Player of the Week, four-time honorable mention WBCA National Player of the Month, First team All-Independent and ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VIII 2nd Team.

Fairbanks, who was also a 2006-07 WBCA honorable mention All-America selection, will return for her senior season in 2008-09 to lead the Wolverines. Utah Valley will return all five starters from this season's school record setting 16-win squad.
