March 24, 2008
OREM, Utah - Coming off a home double header split with South Dakota State last week, Utah Valley will return to action this week with three consecutive home contests beginning with a home twinbill against Utah State Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m. The games against Utah State are the first against an in-state foe and the first two of four the Wolverines (5-17) and Aggies (3-17) will play. In the next week, the Wolverines will play four games against against USU and three against Utah. Utah Valley and Utah State have played 10 times with the two teams each having won five games. Last year, the Wolverines took four of six from the Aggies. Previous to last year, USU had won three consecutive games. The Wolverines own a current two-game winning streak in the series. The Wolverines pounded out a school-record 18 hits in their 13-5, six-inning victory over the Jackrabbits.
