Division I Independent Players of the Week - November 6, 2007 Offensive Player of the Week: Jessica Endres (Utah Valley) Sr. - MB - Gilbert, Arizona Defensive Player of the Week: Rebecca Toddy (Texas-Pan American) So. - L - McAllen, Texas Endres was named the Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 4.43 kills (31 total) and hitting .333 while also averaging 1.43 blocks (10 total) per game as Utah Valley went 1-1 last week. In the school's first ever win over in-state rival Utah State, Endres hit .520 with 15 kills (5.0 kpg), six block-assists and two aces. It's the third time this season that Endres has won the award. Toddy earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Lady Broncs to a win in their only match of the week, a five-game win over UT-Brownsville. In the match, Toddy notched a match-high and career-high 33 digs, an average of 6.6 digs per game. The weekly Division I independent awards are nominated and voted on by the sports information department at seven independent NCAA schools. The 2007-08 Division I All-Independent Team will be announced next week.
