OREM, Utah - The University of Nevada spoiled Utah Valley's senior day as the Wolf Pack beat the Wolverines 3-1 (33-31, 30-21, 26-30 and 30-28) at the Shurian Activity Center.

UV falls to 18-10 with the loss and will now look to get the school record-breaking 19th win at next week's Division I Independent Championship.

"We weren't good enough today," Utah Valley head coach Sam Atoa said. "Hand it to Nevada. They did what they needed to do to get the win. We had a hard time capitalizing on areas we knew we needed to."

The Wolverines were led by Camie Manwill's 17 kills. Kayli Broadbent added 16 kills while hitting .300. Allyce Wilson led UV defenders with 24 digs. Nevada was led by Karly Sipherd's 26 kills.

The three seniors honored - Jessica Endres, Chelsea Baugh and Terin Ledall - all contributed significantly for the Wolverines. Endres had 13 kills and a team-leading four blocks, Ledall added seven kills while Baugh chipped in a team-high two service aces and added eight digs.

The first game was tightly contested as UV led much of the game. The game featured 12 tied scores and five lead changes. UV held a 31-30 lead before Nevada reeled off the final three points, taking the game on Sipherd block.

After Nevada coasted through the second game, taking it 30-21. The Wolf Pack jumped out to a quick start in the third game building a 24-19 lead. Behind Endres' serve UV reeled off eight straight points to built a 27-24 lead. The Wolverines held off the Wolf Pack, winning the game.

The decisive fourth game was a back-and-forth affair with Nevada scoring four straight points after the game was tied at 24. The Wolf Pack held off a small UV run to win the game and match.

The Wolverines will return to action next weekend when they host the Division I Independent Championship.
